Netflix, Inc. NFLX proposed a vast increase in the number of its authorized shares, promising a stock split to sweeten the pot. In a proxy statement filed late Friday, the company proposed boosting authorized shares to 5 billion from 170 million. Netflix shares gained 0.61% to $457.33 in pre-market trading.

Commerce Bancshares, Inc. CBSH to have earned $0.58 per share on revenue of $265.34 million in the first quarter. Commerce Bancshares shares declined 0.40% to close at $41.88 on Friday.
Avid Technology, Inc. AVID reported that it has agreed to acquire provider of state-of-the-art 3D real-time graphics, Orad Hi-Tec Systems, for €5.67 per share in cash. Avid Technology shares climbed 3.50% to close at $15.69 on Friday.
