J.C. Penney Company, IncJCP reported a quarterly loss of $59 million, or $0.19 per share, versus a year-ago profit of $35 million, or $0.11 per share. Excluding certain items, the company broke even during the quarter. However, analysts were expecting a profit of $0.11 per share. J.C. Penney shares dipped 12.72% to $7.96 in the after-hours trading session.

Rowan Companies plc RDC to report its Q4 earnings at $0.89 per share on revenue of $529.90 million. Rowan Companies shares dropped 4.08% to close at $20.69 yesterday.
Ross Stores IncROST reported better-than-expected results for the first quarter and announced a $1.4 billion stock repurchase program. Ross Stores shares surged 4.59% to $103.60 in the after-hours trading session.
Icahn Enterprises, L.P. IEP is projected to report its Q4 earnings at $1.76 per share on revenue of $1.79 billion. Icahn Enterprises shares slipped 0.29% to close at $99.51 yesterday.
Gap Inc. GPS reported better-than-expected earnings for the fourth quarter. Gap's board approved a $1 billion buyback program and raised annual dividend from $0.88 per share to $0.92 per share. Gap shares gained 2.92% to $41.55 in the after-hours trading session.

Herbalife Ltd. HLF reported upbeat earnings for the fourth quarter. However, the company projected a drop in its sales for the first quarter and full year. Herbalife shares fell 1.49% to $34.30 in the after-hours trading session.
