posted a stronger-than-expected profit for the fourth quarter.
The New York-based company posted a quarterly profit of $329.5 million, or $1.30 per share, versus a year-ago profit of $300.5 million, or $1.13 per share.
Its revenue climbed 3.4% to $4.2 billion. However, analysts were estimating earnings of $1.26 per share on revenue of $4.15 billion.
Omnicom's domestic revenue climbed 8.8% to $2.24 billion, while international revenue slipped 2.2% to $1.96 billion.
Organic revenue surged 5.9% in the quarter
Omnicom's earnings before interest, taxes and amortization of intangibles rose 5.9% to $609.4 million from $575.7 million, while EBITA margin widened to 14.5% from 14.2%.
Omnicom's shares gained 1.26% to close at $75.81 yesterday.
