BKE reported weaker-than-expected earnings for the fiscal third quarter.
The Kearney, Nebraska-based company posted quarterly earnings of $40.6 million, or $0.84 per share, compared to $40.6 million, or $0.85 per share, in the year-ago period.
Its revenue rose 1.9% to $292.2 million in the period. However, analysts were expecting earnings of $0.86 per share on revenue of $293.92 million.
Comparable store net sales slipped 0.3% in the quarter, while online sales rose 3.8% to $22.8 million.
The company's net income for the 39-week fiscal period ended November 1, 2014 came in at $102.4 million, or $2.13 per share, on revenue of $799.6 million.
Buckle shares rose 0.79% to close at $49.46 yesterday.
