Some of the stocks that may grab investor focus today are:

Wall Street expects McDonald's (NYSE: MCD) to report its Q2 earnings at $1.44 per share on revenue of $7.29 billion. McDonald's shares surged 0.10% to $97.65 in after-hours trading.

The Coca-Cola Company (NYSE: KO) is estimated to report its Q2 earnings at $0.63 per share on revenue of $12.83 billion. Coca-Cola shares gained 0.38% to $42.56 in the after-hours trading session.

Netflix (NASDAQ: NFLX) reported a strong rise in its second-quarter profit. For the quarter, the company grew its US member base to more than 36 million. In the third quarter, Netflix projected to tack on another 1.3 million net additions. Netflix shares gained 0.74% to $455.30 in the after-hours trading session.

Microsoft (NASDAQ: MSFT) is expected to post its Q4 earnings at $0.60 per share on revenue of $23.03 billion. Microsoft shares rose 0.06% to $44.86 in after-hours trading.

Analysts are expecting Apple (NASDAQ: AAPL) to have earned $1.23 per share on revenue of $37.99 billion in the third quarter. Apple shares climbed 0.20% to $94.13 in the after-hours trading session.

United Technologies (NYSE: UTX) is projected to report its Q2 earnings at $1.70 per share on revenue of $16.86 billion. United Technologies shares declined 0.52% to close at $112.98 yesterday.

Johnson & Johnson (NYSE: JNJ) announced a $5 billion share buyback plan. Johnson & Johnson shares rose 0.57% to $101.85 in the after-hours trading session.

Analysts expect Verizon Communications (NYSE: VZ) to report its Q2 earnings at $0.90 per share on revenue of $31.12billion. Verizon shares gained 0.20% to $50.80 in after-hours trading.

Comcast (NASDAQ: CMCSA) is projected to report its Q2 earnings at $0.72 per share on revenue of $16.95 billion. Comcast shares jumped 1.08% to $54.40 in the after-hours trading session.
