VeriFone Systems (NYSE: PAY) reported better-than-expected second-quarter earnings. VeriFone reported its adjusted earnings of $0.37 per share on revenue of $466 million. However, analysts were expecting earnings of $0.32 per share on revenue of $443.9 million. VeriFone shares climbed 3.70% to $35.07 in the after-hours trading session.
Wall Street expects Piedmont Natural Gas Co (NYSE: PNY) to report its Q2 earnings at $0.75 per share on revenue of $427.95 million. Piedmont shares gained 2.14% to close at $36.23 yesterday.
Diamond Foods (NASDAQ: DMND) reported downbeat fiscal third-quarter earnings. Diamond Foods posted its adjusted earnings of $0.11 per share on revenue of $190.9 million. Analysts were projecting earnings of $0.17 per share on revenue of $191.7 million. Diamond Foods shares tumbled 9.33% to $30.21 in the after-hours trading session.
Vail Resorts (NYSE: MTN) reported a rise in its fiscal third-quarter earnings and lifted its EBITDA forecast for the year. Vail Resorts shares surged 2.12% to $73.53 in after-hours trading.
Rally Software Development (NYSE: RALY) reported downbeat fiscal first-quarter revenue and issued a weak revenue outlook. Rally Software reported an adjusted loss of $0.27 per share on revenue of $19.4 million. However, analysts were estimating a loss of $0.50 per share on revenue of $19.6 million. Rally Software shares dipped 18.99% to $9.90 in the after-hours trading session.
