posted a loss in the first quarter. Orbitz swung to a quarterly loss of $5.9 million, or $0.05 per share, versus a year-ago profit of $146.2 million or $1.34 per share. Its revenue climbed 3.7% to $210.3 million. However, analysts were expecting a loss of $0.02 per share on revenue of $206.5 million. Orbitz's overall gross bookings increased 3% to $3.18 billion, while hotel room nights climbed 12%, versus a 14% growth. Orbitz shares gained 2.08% to $7.59 in pre-market trading.
