UPDATE: MoneyGram Posts Rise In Q4 Profit

MoneyGram International

reported a 16% gain in its fourth-quarter earnings. MoneyGram's quarterly profit surged to $23.4 million, or $0.33 per share, from a year-ago profit of $20.2 million, or $0.28 per share. Its revenue climbed 8.9% to $385.8 million. However, analysts were estimating a profit of $0.35 per share on revenue of $389.4 million. MoneyGram shares rose 1.60% to $19.00 in pre-market trading.
