UPDATE: AutoNation Posts Upbeat Q4 Earnings

reported upbeat fourth-quarter earnings. AutoNation's quarterly net income surged to $109.4 million, or $0.89 per share, from $83.2 million, or $0.67 per share, in the year-earlier period. However, analysts were estimating earnings of $0.76 per share. Its revenue came in at $4.52 billion, versus analysts' estimates of $4.59 billion. AutoNation shares closed at $47.01 yesterday.
