CIT reported an upbeat third-quarter profit.
CIT posted a quarterly net income of $199.6 million, or $0.99 per share, versus a year-ago loss of $299.2 million, or $1.49 per share. However, analysts were projecting earnings of $0.94 per share.
CIT shares closed at $50.97 yesterday.
