posted a loss in the second quarter. AngloGold Ashanti's revenue for the quarter declined to $1.30 billion, from $1.68 billion, in the year-ago period. Its operating loss came in at $3.02 billion, versus a year-ago profit of $481 million, while headline earnings fell to $112 million from $323 million. AngloGold Ashanti's headline EPS dropped to 29 cents from 83 cents. AngloGold Ashanti shares closed at $12.05 yesterday.
