UPDATE: JetBlue Q2 Profit Drops 31%
JetBlue Airways (NASDAQ: JBLU) reported a 31% drop in its second-quarter earnings.
JetBlue's quarterly profit fell to $36 million, or $0.11 per share, from $52 million, or $0.16 per share, in the year-ago period.
Its revenue rose 4.5% to $1.3 billion. However, analysts were projecting a profit of $0.14 per share on revenue of $1.35 billion.
JetBlue's operating margin narrowed to 7.6% from 10.2%.
JetBlue shares fell 2.26% to $6.50 in pre-market trading.
