posted a profit in the first half of the year. Anglo American Platinum swung to a net profit of 1.22 billion rand ($124.6 million), versus a year-ago loss of ZAR464 million. Its refined platinum sales rose 11% to 1.074 million ounces. Anglo American Platinum shares closed at $4.97 on Friday.
