UPDATE: Campbell Posts Higher Q3 Profit

reported a rise in its third-quarter profit. Campbell's quarterly profit surged to $181 million, or $0.57 per share, versus $177 million, or $0.55 per share, in the year-ago period. Its adjusted earnings per share came in at $0.62. Its revenue jumped to $2.09 billion from $1.82 billion. However, analysts were projecting earnings of $0.56 per share on revenue of $2.04 billion. Campbell shares closed at $47.63 on Friday.
