Nordea Posts Higher Q1 Profit

reported an increase in its first-quarter net profit. Nordea's quarterly net profit climbed to EUR794 million from EUR773 million, beating estimates of EUR753 million. Its net interest income declined to EUR1.40 billion from EUR1.42 billion. Nordea shares closed at $11.21 yesterday.
