Toyota Posts Rise In FQ3 Profit, Lifts Full-Year Forecast

Toyota Motor (NYSE: TM) reported a rise in fiscal third-quarter profit and lifted its full year forecast.
For the fiscal year, Toyota raised its net profit view to Y860 billion from Y780 billion. It now expects revenue of Y21.80 trillion, versus its earlier forecast of Y21.30 trillion.
Toyota's quarterly net profit surged to Y99.9 billion, from Y80.9 billion, in the year-ago quarter. However, analysts were expecting a profit of Y152.81 billion.
Its revenue climbed 9.3% to Y5.319 trillion from Y4.865 trillion.
Toyota shares closed at $97.83 yesterday.
