Bebe Stores (NASDAQ: BEBE) posted a loss in its fiscal second quarter.

Bebe posted a quarterly loss of $4.8 million, or $0.06 per share, versus a year-ago profit of $6.5 million, or $0.08 per share.

Its net sales dropped 11% to $135.5 million, while revenue at stores open at least a year fell 10.5%. However, analysts were expecting a loss of $0.01 per share on sales of $133.4 million.

Bebe shares fell 4.07% to $4.01 in after-hours trading.
