posted a profit in the fourth quarter. Regions Financial posted a quarterly profit of $261 million, or $0.18 per share, versus a year-ago loss of $602 million, or $0.48 per share. Its profit from continuing operations came in at $0.19 per share, while adjusted profit came in at $0.22 per share. Regions Financial's total revenue fell to $1.35 billion from $1.36 billion. However, analysts were expecting earnings of $0.21 per share on revenue of $1.35 billion Regions Financial shares closed at $7.43 on Friday.
