Gazprom Posts Surge In Q3 Profit

reported a surge in its third-quarter net profit. Gazprom's net profit jumped to 305.1 billion rubles ($10.0 billion), from RUB152.0 billion, in the year-ago period. However, analysts were expecting a net profit of 302 billion rubles. Its revenue climbed 18% to RUB1.12 trillion, versus analysts' analysts of RUB1.04 trillion. Gazprom shares closed at $9.60 yesterday.
