UPDATE: United Natural Foods Posts Rise In Q1 Profit

United Natural Foods (NASDAQ: UNFI) reported a rise in its first-quarter profit.
United Natural Foods' quarterly profit surged to $21.5 million, or $0.43 per share, versus $15.2 million, or $0.31 per share, in the year-earlier period. Its adjusted profit came in at $0.46 per share.
Its sales climbed 15.8% to $1.41 billion. However, analysts were expecting earnings of $0.46 per share on revenue of $1.39 billion.
United Natural Foods shares closed at $52.07 yesterday.
