UPDATE: Hewlett-Packard Posts Drop In Q4 Revenue

reported a narrower fourth-quarter loss. Hewlett-Packard posted a quarterly loss of $6.85 billion, or $3.49 per share, versus a year-ago loss of $8.86 billion, or $4.49 per share. Its adjusted profit came in at $1.16 per share. Its revenue declined 7% to $30 billion. However, analysts were expecting earnings of $1.14 per share on sales of $30.44 billion. Hewlett-Packard projects adjusted Q1 profit of $0.68 to $0.71 per share, versus analysts' estimates of $0.85 per share. Hewlett-Packard shares dropped 6.92% to $12.38in pre-market trading.
