Allianz Posts Surge In Q3 Net Profit

reported a strong rise in its net profit in the third quarter. Net profit attributable to shareholders surged to EUR1.34 billion, versus EUR196 million, in the year-ago period. Allianz's quarterly operating profit jumped 33% y/y to EUR2.53 billion, from EUR1.91 billion. Allianz shares closed at $11.98 yesterday.
