Bharti Airtel Q2 Net Profit Down 30%

India's Bharti Airtel Ltd posted a 30% decline in its second-quarter net profit. Bharti Airtel's quarterly net profit dropped to 7.21 billion rupees ($132 million), versus INR10.27 billion, in the year-ago period. Its revenue climbed 17% to INR202.73 billion from INR172.70 billion. However, analysts were expecting a net profit of INR7.36 billion on revenue of INR195.47 billion. Bharti Airtel's tax expenses surged 57% to INR7.71 billion.
