LG Electronics Posts Q3 Net Profit

South Korean LG Electronics posted a third-quarter net profit. LG Electronics posted a quarterly net profit of 157.1 billion won ($142 million), versus a year-ago net loss of KRW413.9 billion. However, analysts were expecting a profit of KRW152 billion. The company posted an operating profit of KRW220.5 billion, versus a year-ago loss of KRW31.9 billion. Its sales dropped 4.0% to KRW12.376 trillion from KRW12.897 trillion.
