Honeywell International (NYSE: HON) reported a 10% rise in its third-quarter earnings.

Honeywell now expects full-year earnings of $4.45 to $4.50 per share on revenue of $37.5 billion to $37.7 billion. The company in July expected earnings of $4.40 to $4.55 per share on revenue of $37.8 billion to $38.4 billion.

Honeywell's quarterly profit climbed to $950 million, or $1.20 per share, from $862 million, or $1.10 per share, in the year-ago period.

Its sales rose 0.5% to $9.34 billion. However, analysts were expecting earnings of $1.14 per share on revenue of $9.51 billion.

Honeywell's operating margin rose to 13.9% from 10.3%.

Honeywell shares closed at $61.42 yesterday.
