UPDATE: Cal-Maine Posts Higher Q1 Profit

reported a rise in its first-quarter profit. Cal-Maine's quarterly profit surged to $9.4 million, or $0.39 per share, versus $3.1 million, or $0.13 per share, in the year-ago period. Its revenue surged around 12% to $272.9 million. Cal-Maine shares closed at $44.94 on Friday.
