posted a loss in its fiscal second-quarter. Research In Motion posted a quarterly net loss of $235 million, or $0.45 per share, versus a year-ago net income of $329 million, or $0.63 per share. Its adjusted net loss for the period came in at $0.27 per share. Its revenue declined 31% to $2.9 billion. However, analysts were projecting a net loss of $0.47 per share on revenue of $2.49 billion. Research In Motion shares surged 20.45% to $8.60 in after-hours trading.
