UPDATE: Silicon Graphics Reports Wider FQ4 loss
Silicon Graphics International (NYSE: SGI) posted a wider fiscal fourth-quarter loss.
For the current quarter, Silicon Graphics expects a loss of $0.16 to $0.24 per share on revenue of $180 million to $195 million. However, analysts were expecting a loss of $0.27 per share on revenue of $177 million.
Silicon Graphics posted a quarterly loss of $18.4 million, or $0.58 per share, versus a year-ago loss of $12.1 million, or $0.39 per share. Excluding other items, Silicon Graphics posted a loss of $0.10 per share.
Its revenue dropped 8.2% to $179 million. In May, the company expected a loss of $0.37 to $0.52 per share on revenue of $177 million to $197 million.
Its gross margin declined to 20.9% from 23.5%.
Silicon Graphics shares closed at $6.82 yesterday.
