Nomura FQ1 Net Profit Down 89%

reported an 89% drop in its net profit in the April-June period. Nomura's quarterly net profit fell to Y1.89 billion, versus a year-ago net profit of Y17.77 billion. In the previous quarter, Nomura posted a net profit of Y22.08 billion. Group revenue climbed 2.9% to Y439.59 billion, versus Y427.01 billion. Nomura shares closed at $3.13 yesterday.
