Google, Microsoft Beat Estimates, Announce Rising Revenue
Microsoft (NASDAQ: MSFT) has reported its fourth-quarter EPS of $0.73 vs. $0.62 estimates, while Google (NASDAQ: GOOG) reported its second-quarter EPS of $10.12 vs. $10.04 estimates.
The Windows maker also reported revenues of $18.6 billion vs. $18.13 billion estimates, and business revenue growth of seven percent. Microsoft's entertainment revenue rose 20 percent.
Google, which has been up more than two percent in after-hours trading, reported revenues of $8.42 billion vs. $8.41 billion estimates. The search engine giant also announced that paid clicks rose 42 percent from the prior year.
