Shares of Nu Skin Enterprises
NUS plunged from a high around $54 Tuesday to a low below $46 and through no fault of its own. During Herbalife's
HLF conference call, Greenlight Capital's David Einhorn, a noted short-seller, asked questions about Herbalife's 10K disclosures. Both stocks sold off as traders reacted to the questions.
Nu Skin spokesperson Scott Pond said "we are quite frustrated especially considering our strong quarter and record outlook for 2012. Today we obviously sympathy traded with Herbalife's drop". Pond added, "We still feel very confident in a great year and the overall state of the business".
Nu Skin Enterprises closed at $48.89 Tuesday, a loss of 8.27% on 8 times average volume.
