China Mobile Q1 Profit Up 3.5%

China Mobile Limited

reported a 3.5% rise in its first-quarter profit. China Mobile's quarterly net profit climbed to 27.8 billion yuan ($4.4 billion), from 26.9 billion yuan, in the year-ago period. Analysts were expecting a net profit of 28.2 billion yuan ($4.5 billion). China Mobile shares closed at $55.24 yesterday.
