UPDATE: Alvarion Posts Narrower Q4 Loss

Alvarion Ltd (NASDAQ: ALVR) reported a narrower fourth-quarter net loss.

Alvarion posted a quarterly loss, excluding one-time items, of $0.04 per share, versus a year-ago loss of $0.18 per share. Alvarion earlier expected a loss of $0.03 to $0.04 per share.

Alvarion's revenue dropped 19% to $41.2 million. Its quarterly shipments climbed 3% versus the third quarter.

Alvarion expects Q1 revenue between $38 million and $43 million and an adjusted loss between $0.01 and $0.06 per share.

Alvarion shares closed at $1.27 yesterday.
