UPDATE: Corn Products Posts Rise In Q4 Profit, Issues Upbeat 2012 Revenue Forecast

Corn Products International Inc (NYSE: CPO) reported a rise in its fourth-quarter profit and issued upbeat full-year 2012 revenue forecast.

Corn Products expects full-year adjusted earnings of $5.00 to $5.25 per share. It projects net sales to reach $7 billion. However, analysts were estimating earnings of $5.10 per share on revenue of $6.75 billion.

Corn Products' quarterly profit climbed to $1.22 per share, from $0.67 per share, in the year-ago period. Excluding items, Corn Products earned $1.11 per share. Its revenue surged 13% to $834 million.

Corn Products shares closed at $56.42 yesterday.
