Sumitomo Mitsui Reports 20.2% Decline In April-December Profit

Sumitomo Mitsui Financial Group Inc (NYSE: SMFG) reported a 20.2% decline in its group net profit for the April-December period.

Sumitomo Mitsui's profit fell to Y411.00 billion, down from Y515.14 billion, in the year-ago period. The bank's operating revenue climbed 0.8% to Y2.935 trillion from Y2.912 trillion.

Sumitomo Mitsui shares closed at $6.40 yesterday.
