UPDATE: Check Point Reports Upbeat Q4 Profit

Check Point Software Technologies (NASDAQ: CHKP) reported a rise in its quarterly net profit.

Check Point's fourth-quarter earnings per diluted share rose to $0.84, from $0.73, in the year-earlier period. Its revenue surged 12% to $356.8 million.

However, analysts were expecting earnings of $0.82 per share on revenue of $355.6 million.

Check Point shares fell 2.73% to clsoe at $50.90 on Friday.
