Stocks To Watch For January 12

Some of the stocks that may grab investor focus today are:

Regions Financial Corp (NYSE: RF) announced its plans to sell Morgan Keegan & Co and its affiliates to Raymond James Financial Inc (NYSE: RJF) for $930 million. RF shares gained 2.13% to close at $4.80 yesterday, while RJF shares fell 0.03% to close at $34.18 yesterday.

PVH Corp (NYSE: PVH) lifted its earnings view for the fourth quarter by $0.05 per share. PVH now projects adjusted earnings of $1.08 to $1.10 per share, up from its earlier view of $1.03 to $1.05 per share. PVH shares dropped 4.07% to $70.89 in after-hours trading.

Williams-Sonoma Inc (NYSE: WSM) is projected to report its December sales figures today. WSM shares gained 0.46% to close at $39.08 yesterday.

Royal Bank of Scotland Group PLC (NYSE: RBS) announced its plans to cut 3,500 jobs in and outside the UK over three years. RBS shares dropped 1.49% to $6.70 in after-hours trading.

Chevron Corp (NYSE: CVX) projects Q4 profit to come in “significantly” below its Q3 results. CVX shares fell 1.92% to $105.70 in the after-hours trading session.
