priceline.com Inc (NASDAQ: PCLN) reported its Q3 earnings at $9.95 per share, excluding items, on sales of $1.45 billion. However, analysts were expecting earnings of $9.30 per share on sales of $1.42 billion. PCLN shares surged 2.65% to $522.48 in the after-hours trading session.
Analysts are expecting James River Coal Co (NASDAQ: JRCC) to have earned $0.19 per share on revenue of $344.9 million in the third quarter. JRCC shares rose 0.39% to $10.42 in after-hours trading.
DryShips Inc (NASDAQ: DRYS) reported upbeat Q3 profit. The company's quarterly profit dropped to $25 million, or $0.07 per share, from $57.7 million, or $0.21 per share, in the year-ago period. Excluding items, DryShips earned $0.16 per share. Its revenue climbed 41% to $318 million. However, analysts were expecting earnings of $0.14 per share on revenue of $298.4 million. DryShips shares climbed 2.57% to $2.79 in the after-hours trading session.
Analysts expect Scotts Miracle-Gro Company (NYSE: SMG) to post a Q4 loss at $0.44 per share on sales of $418.6 million. SMG shares dropped 2.46% to $46.44 in after-hours trading.
