Stocks To Watch For August 11

Some of the stocks that may grab investor focus today are:

Wall Street expects Kohl's Corporation (NYSE: KSS) to report its Q2 EPS at $1.02 on revenue of $4.31 billion. Kohl's shares dropped 4.88% to close at $44.29 yesterday.

News Corp (NASDAQ: NWSA) reported a 21% drop in its fiscal fourth-quarter profit. The company's earnings declined to $683 million, or $0.26 per share, from $875 million, or $0.33 per share, in the year-earlier period. Excluding items, News Corp earned $0.35 per share. Its revenue climbed 11% to $8.96 billion. However, analysts were expecting a profit of $0.32 per share on revenue of $8.46 billion. NWSA shares gained 0.88% to $13.83 in the after-hours trading session.

Analysts are expecting Nordstrom Inc (NYSE: JWN) to have earned $0.74 per share on revenue of $2.71 billion in the second quarter. Nordstrom shares declined 3.51% to close at $40.14 yesterday.

Cisco Systems Inc (NASDAQ: CSCO) reported upbeat quarterly results and also issued better-than-expected sales forecast. Cisco reported its FQ4 profit at $1.2 billion, or $0.22 per share, down from $1.9 billion, or $0.33 per share, in the year-ago period. Its revenue climbed to $11.2 billion, from $10.8 billion. Its adjusted income came in at $0.40 per share. However, analysts were expecting earnings of $0.38 per share on revenue of $11 billion. Cisco shares jumped 6.63% to $14.64 in the after-hours trading session.

Analysts expect Sara Lee Corporation (NYSE: SLE) to report its Q4 EPS at $0.20 on revenue of $2.22 billion. Sara Lee shares fell 3.24% to close at $17.31 yesterday.
