MAXIMUS (NYSE: MMS), a leading provider of government services worldwide, announced today that its Human Services North America Division has won a renewal of its Title IV-E Foster Care and Adoption Assistance contract with the Wisconsin Department of Children and Families. The six-year contract runs through December 31, 2016 and includes two additional one-year option periods, for a total contract value of $21.2 million if all options are exercised.

As part of the Social Security Act, Title IV-E provides states with federal reimbursement funds to cover the costs of children who are placed in foster homes or other types of out-of-home care. By determining the IV-E eligibility and reimbursability of related costs for each child, a state can claim federal reimbursement for the child's maintenance costs and for administrative and training costs associated with the child.
