Shares of Nike (NYSE: NKE) fell more than 4% in the previous week. The company reported Q2 profit at $0.94 per share, on $4.84 billion in revenue, versus $0.76 per share, on $4.41 billion in revenue, in the year-ago period. NKE shares rose 0.06% to $86.10 in the after-hours trading session.
The airline sector will remain in focus in the holiday week. Shares of US Airways (NYSE: LCC) lost 3.97%, United Continental Holdings (NYSE: UAL) lost 4.10% and AMR Corp (NYSE: AMR) moved down 2.14%, on Thursday. LCC shares gained 0.40% to $9.95, while AMR shares moved up 0.64% to $7.83 in after-hours trading.
A-Power Energy Generation Systems Ltd (NASDAQ: APWR) entered into an engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contract with Huolinhe Coal for a 4x200 megawatt micro grid project. APWR shares surged 10.68% to $5.70 in the after-hours trading session.
