The Dow fell 0.14 percent to 18,307.26, while the NASDAQ composite index gained 0.19 percent to 5,203.32. The broader Standard & Poor's 500 index dropped 0.40 percent to 2,131.01.

The worst performing industries in the market today are:

  • Photographic Equipment & Supplies: This industry slipped 6.7 percent by 11:00 am. The worst stock within the industry was GoPro Inc GPRO, which fell 7.5 percent. GoPro announced a recall of 2,500 units of brand new drone product called Karma. Wedbush downgraded GoPro from Outperform to Neutral and lowered the price target from $12.00 to $9.00.
  • Home Health Care: This industry declined 4.2 percent by 11:00 am with BioScrip Inc BIOS moving down 12.5 percent. BioScrip shares have declined 50.90 percent over the past 52 weeks, while the S&P 500 index has gained 2.93 percent in the same period.
  • Auto Parts Wholesale: This industry fell 3.6 percent by 11:00 am ET. Magna International Inc. (USA) MGA shares dropped 5.57 percent in today's trading. Bank of America downgraded Magna from Buy to Underperform and lowered the price target from $54.00 to $36.00.
  • Meat Products: The industry dropped 3.1 percent by 11:00 am. The worst performer in this industry was Tyson Foods, Inc. TSN, which declined 4.6 percent. Tyson is expected to release quarterly earnings on November 21, 2016.
