6 Apps To Check Out Before Election Day

Nowadays, there’s an app for almost everything. Ahead of Election Day Tuesday, Benzinga would like to share a list of six tech tools to check out in order to make a more informed decision.

Settle It

PolitiFact’s Settle It allows you to fact-check candidates and the media’s statements. This comes in particularly handy for investors trying to figure out what will happen after the ballot. Can candidates keep their promises? How will commodities react? What about the Mexican peso? Will the jobs market improve or tumble?

My Pundit

My Pundit is a free chatbot available via Amazon.com, Inc. AMZN’s Alexa, which sources information from RealClearPolitics, The Washington Post and voter registrations provide users with a wide range of data sets, from state-by-state polling statistics to candidates’ positions on the main issues for the country. The app also includes data on the American electorate, things like how many female Democrats are in Texas or how much the average New York Republican makes per year.

Countable

Countable focuses on the down-ballot elections, which will decide if the majority in Congress changes hands, if it will be divided, etc. Renee Sieli, BtoB Young PR executive of the year and founder of PR consultancy firm ERPR Group, pointed out this app could be “helpful for investors to keep tabs on future policy direction, which can impact stock and bond prices.”

Vote411

Vote 411 is equally simple and essential. Do you know where to vote, or what time ballots close? Check it all out in this app.

Hello.Vote

Hello.Vote is another must-have for the forgetful. The app allows users to easily register to vote — where this is still allowed.

Voter

Think something down the line of OkCupid for politics and you’ve got Voter. This app will match you with the candidate that best fits your views, priorities and interests based on a relatively simple questionnaire.
