The worst performing industries in the market today are:

  • Semiconductor - Integrated Circuits: This industry slipped 2.9 percent by 11:00 am. The worst stock within the industry was Applied Optoelectronics Inc AAOI, which fell 6 percent. Applied Optoelectronics is scheduled to announce Q3 financial results on November 3, 2016.
  • Regional - Southeast Banks: This industry declined 2.5 percent by 11:00 am with Bank Of The Ozarks Inc OZRK moving down 3.1 percent. Bank Of The Ozarks shares have dropped 16.48 percent over the past 52 weeks, while the S&P 500 index has increased 6.76 percent in the same period.
  • Regional - Southwest Banks: This industry fell 2.4 percent by 11:00 am ET. Prosperity Bancshares, Inc. PB shares dropped 3.8 percent in today's trading. Prosperity Bancshares is expected to announce Q3 earnings on October 26, 2016.
