Skyworks Clears Up Conference Confusion

Shares of Skyworks Solutions Inc SWKS surged to an intra-day high of $82.28 early Tuesday after unconfirmed market chatter suggested the company won't be attending an industry conference.

Traders and investors were speculating that Skyworks cancelled its scheduled appearance at an upcoming Credit Suisse conference.

Benzinga spoke with a company spokesperson to clear up the report.

A Skyworks' spokesperson told Benzinga early Tuesday afternoon that the company never committed to attending the Credit Suisse conference in the first place. The spokesperson did confirm its attendance at a Barclays conference the following week.

Shares of Skyworks were last seen trading at $79.76, down 0.49 percent on the day.
