Poll: Donald Trump Dominated The Second Debate

Donald Trump built his entire campaign from day one under the premise he is a winner and all he knows how to do is win. On Monday, he secured another victory during the second presidential debate, at least according to an informal Benzinga poll.

Benzinga's poll in late September declared the billionaire real estate mogul and entrepreneur the winner in the first debate.

Nearly 1,300 respondents answered Benzinga's latest Twitter poll and 65 percent said Trump won the debate. Only 24 percent said his opponent, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, won the debate.

The remaining 11 percent declared CNN the winner as the TV station no doubt benefited from a surge in ratings.

Bloomberg: Trump Ends 'Nightmare Weekend'

By all accounts, Trump was heading into the debate in hot water after a video surfaced of him using extremely vulgar language towards women.

According to Bloomberg, Trump unleashed a "spectacle of defiance" with a "hovering presence." However, his performance could result in mobilizing his base more than appealing to female voter.

Kevin Madden, a Republican strategist and former advisor to Mitt Romney in 2012, told Bloomberg that Trump's supporters likely "loved every minute of the debate" and was "exactly what these voters wanted to see tonight."

On the other hand, his "problems with suburban women voters will only worsen and the temperament questions will continue to endure."

Jeff Weaver, Bernie Sander's former campaign manager, offered a different take and told Bloomberg that Trump was in a "big deficit" since the first debate.

"The burden was really on him to hit a home run and I don't think he came close," he added. " I don't think there was any movement of his base or of her base either. But he's so far down in the hole and moving in the wrong direction that I think he really needed a killer performance and that didn't happen."
