Sixty-three million Americans wait until December before starting their holiday purchases and younger shoppers as a whole tend to procrastinate and start later.

The survey found that Americans believe that Black Friday prices and deals can be found throughout December.

In addition, 15.37 percent of Americans will spend more this year compared to last year, 32.73 percent will spend less and the remaining 51.90 percent will spend roughly the same amount.

Online Vs. Offline

The study found that 54.28 Americans prefer shopping online but most will still shop online and offline. Perhaps surprising to some, respondents in the 18 to 29 age age group do not overwhelming prefer online shopping.

Shoppers are most interest in seeing holiday deals at Amazon.com, Inc. AMZN at 37.92 percent, but people aren't looking forward to Apple Inc. AAPL's deals at all as the company ranked at just 2 percent.
