The industries that are still afloat in the market today are:

  • Sporting Goods Stores: This industry gained 4.8 percent by 10:30 am. The top stock within the industry was Cabelas Inc CAB, which gained 14.5 percent. Cabela's and Bass Pro Shops struck a definitive deal through which the latter would buy the former for $65.50 a share in cash.
  • Building Materials Wholesale: This industry rose 1.2 percent by 10:30 am ET. The top performer in this industry was Huttig Building Products Inc HBP, which gained 2.1 percent. Huttig Building shares have climbed 86.45 percent over the past 52 weeks, while the S&P 500 index has gained 9.12 percent in the same period.
  • Regional Airlines: The industry gained 0.9 percent by 10:30 am. The top performer in this industry was Gol Linhas Aereas Inteligentes SA (ADR) GOL, which gained 5.5 percent. Gol Linhas shares have surged 101.70 percent over the past 52 weeks, while the S&P 500 index has increased 9.12 percent in the same period.
  • Foreign Utilities: This industry moved up 0.9 percent by 10:30 am. The top performer in this industry was CPFL Energia S.A. (ADR) CPL, which rose 1.2 percent.
