American Century Investments Hires Envestnet Executive Jay Hummel

Private Investment Management firm American Century Investments has announced the hiring of Jay Hummel to oversee the company's retail direct business.

Hummel will be the SVP of Direct Sales & Service, leading the team responsible for serving over 600,000 clients with aggregate assets of $36 billion.

"American Century's direct business is substantial in size, yet nimble enough to quickly adapt to the changing industry landscape," said Hummel.

American Century Investments new hire was previously Envestnet ENV head of Strategic initiatives and thought leadership.

"We chose Jay for his extensive industry knowledge, including his experience in the advisory space and as a strategic thought leader. He will play a critical role in helping lead our direct business into the future by enhancing processes and serving clients in an ever-evolving business and regulatory environment," said ACI Chief Client Officer Peter Ciezko.
