The worst performing industries in the market today are:

  • Cement: This industry slipped 3.5 percent by 11:45 am. The worst stock within the industry was Cemex SAB de CV (ADR) CX, which fell 4.3 percent. Cemex shares have climbed 13.63 percent over the past 52 weeks, while the S&P 500 index has gained 12.32 percent in the same period.
  • Appliances: This industry declined 3.4 percent by 11:45 am with Whirlpool Corporation WHR moving down 4.2 percent.
  • Photographic Equipment & Supplies: This industry fell 3.2 percent by 11:45 am ET. GoPro Inc GPRO shares dropped 3.8 percent in today's trading. GoPro shares have declined 59.64 percent over the past 52 weeks, while the S&P 500 index has increased 12.32 percent in the same period.
  • Semiconductor - Integrated Circuits: The industry dropped 2.8 percent by 11:45 am. The worst performer in this industry was Skyworks Solutions Inc SWKS, which declined 7 percent.
